Hi folks. Just keeping you apprised of the current stuff going on. As I mentioned, though I’m working on another podcast project (which I’m very excited about, by the way!), Soccer Ref Talk will definitely continue its episodes in the near future. Thanks for sticking with me.
In the meantime, I’ll just mention that I have few changes planned for both SRT’s site as well as the podcast. I’m looking to pick up an occasional co-host as I further develop both podcasts. As I enhance my podcasting skills through this month, I’m picking up a lot of great techniques and tips which I hope to apply soon.
FIFA: With all the “stuff” going on with FIFA, I’m just hoping that fine organization undergoes a long-overdue transformation. (You may detect a bit of sarcasm for the organization that also oversees/manages the laws we enforce) . Referees are by definition independent individuals, yet all officials have a deep interest and stake in FIFA’s administration. For the sake of the game and its future, it is time for transparency the global soccer community deserves. The game is for ALL of us, regardless of income or status. I’d love to hear your thoughts about what’s going on. Do you thing Sepp Blatter can possibly come out legally unscathed? What does this mean for 2018 or 2022? Does the US have a possible chance of hosting BEFORE 2026? These are very tenuous times for OUR beautiful game.
Till next time, have fun and be safe, my friends…
